The Centre for Comparative European Survey Data was founded in 1995. Its mission statement was simply to improve the accessibility of comparative social survey data. To this end we:

  • develop information systems designed to improve the accessibility of comparative survey data
  • provide specialist support for members of the academic community wishing to work with secondary, comparative European survey data sets
  • carry out methodological research to improve conceptualisation and operationalisation of inter-national and inter-cultural analyses
  • carry out original research drawing upon survey data; and support postgraduate taught courses and research students.

Visitors interested in our work might also like to visit our BESIS [www.besis.org] web-site or the main CCESD [www.ccesd.ac.uk] web-site.
